"The Fact Finder"
"The Fact Finder" is a dystopian graphic novel. It is the story of Mr Hesus, a middle-aged migrant who has a hard time fitting in his host country, especially because of his peculiar difficulty in learning the new language.
One day, a ‘failure’ in the fabrics of the world occurs which affects everybody. Mr Hesus accidentally gains the ability to tackle with the failure for the benefice of the world despite (or maybe because) of his communication barrier.
We will follow him inside an intricate construction of stories within stories. The Fact Finder is a book about belonging, language and communication. About our accumulated deficit of attention to details; about labelling and tagging and the hate generated by it; about isolation and the craving for the community; about the dangers of algorithms.
It is a work for our age, now that we are bombarded with visual information (and information in general) and we strive to find equilibrium between looking at things in a “fast” manner as opposed to looking at them ‘slow’, staying apart or being ‘part of’.
